Authentications of Public Documents to be used in Cyprus
All authentications of public documents issue abroad and which will use in Cyprus, must be duly certify. As per the Law ratifying the Convention on the abolishing the requirement of legalization for Foreign Public Documents of 1972 (Apostille stamp).
Hague Convention – Authentications of Public Documents
When the said documents are issued by countries which are not part of the Hague Convention (Apostille). Further, then they should bear diplomatic authentication following the steps below.
1. Certification of the document at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuance country.
2. Certification of the signature of the issuance country Foreign Affairs’ officer from the consular authority. This of the Republic in the issuance country.
3. Also, certification of the signature of the Republic consular authority’s officer in the issuance country. Further, this by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus (Certifications Department).
